Poem: LOVE, MOON AND MOONLIGHT
Poet: Matloob Bokhari
Country: Pakistan
In the cold cold wet day
I was walking alone In the silence of empty streets
Where no one was to wander and wonder
I was totally lost in the beautiful old familiar territory
And forgot the world around me
I was drowned in the ocean of silence
As the temps dropped deep in the night,
The ambers of your memory warmed my soul.
I blew out the candles in my room
And went to my bed to talk to the pillow and sheet.
I saw in my dream
Love, moon and moonlight were playing in my room
My soul was singing with the moonlight
And dancing with the moon.
My friend! O my friend! O my dear friend!
I am burning like a little flame in the storm of dissolution and madness.
Flickering. Fearing that at any time I will completely go out!
My friend! O my friend! O my dear friend!
Any time,
Any time, I will completely go out!
