Love Of A Lifetime Poem by Kailee Williams

Love Of A Lifetime

How many songs remind you
Of the love we used to share?
How many moments do you spend
Wishing I was there?
How many times each day
Do these things cross your mind?
How many tears have you shed
For all we’ve left behind?

How many hours did we spend
Talking long into the night?
How many times did you help me
Open my eyes and see the light?
How many kisses left me breathless,
Forever begging for more?
How many days without you
Would have been worth living for?

So many lifetimes have passed
Since I fell in love with you.
To see you now would surely be
A long-lost dream come true.
Now I know that you're the one,
as you have always been.
So how many lifetimes will it be
Until I’m yours again?
