Love Questioned Poem by Shar Thompson

Love Questioned

LOVE QUESTIONED

My love...
If you were to see me across a dim-lit room
would I still catch your eyes in the distance where I loom?

If you were to pass me on a winding narrow street
would your shoulder brush against mine ever gentle and discreet?

If you were to feel me in a misty park at dawn
would you know my essence though my presence was long gone?

If you were to meet me along a sandy ocean shore
would you greet me like a lover's hearts long acquainted before?

My love,
In the room, I would seek you, til naught else filled my view.cx.

On the narrow street, I'd embrace you, as old souls returned anew.

In the misty park, I would wait for you and wrap your essence in the dew.

By the shore, I would love you like we were one and never two.
