Love's Fury Poem by Anthony Burkett

Love's Fury

Rating: 5.0

In a raging tempest
your ocean's waves
crash against the barren rocks of my soul.
As I breathe you in
I'm soaked into your being,
And then you slip away.
Time and time again
this violent cleansing
that I do so adore
softens the jagged edges of my suffering.
With each thundering blow then ebbing flow
a little more of me is drawn away.
Until nothing of me remains
but that which swirls
amidst the loving arms of your embrace.

What beautiful visuals you paint here with your words, so vivid, so real, I can almost feel the waves crashing against me, great write, excellent read. Annette
