Love Sick Poem by Aiden Florence

Life fell apart so suddenly it was almost impossible to grasp the situation
As failure perseveres
All I can feel is the sense of energy slowly draining out it’s last drop
You’re holding off our affection so long
I just can’t seem to wait long enough to move along

How long will it be
Till we get to the point
Where we can believe what we say to each other is real

This is what we do
We keep fighting each other until we both get sick and hold off
And before we can grasp reality, we’re back in the same routine again.

Everything in between us seems so hollow
Yet the passion we hold between each other seems so satiated
I don’t know what to do
No matter where you are and what you do
I just can’t seem to get over you

It feels like being ensnared with a deadly disease
The pain is so sickening but I just can’t feel the temptation to fight it
It’s heartbreaking, it makes me feel so suicidal, but I just don’t want to renounce.

Never would I have imagined how painful this disease would be to suffer through
I’d rather die than feel shattered like this
As days go by situation only gets worse,
And by the time I realize time can cure nothing,
I’m already beyond this embittered life
And to ever imagine death would be a cure,
By the time I awaken in heaven,
Angels will be in the waiting
Craving to add a new taste to this unforgettably gratifying disease.
