Love Sonnet (3) Poem by J.B. LeBuert

Love Sonnet (3)

The awful loss of my intelligence
When making decisions for my future
Shows that love should have no real relevance.
I should close my whole mouth with one suture;
Talking to you is like losing my mind.
If this is love, then I must be crazy.
My tongue gets so tied and thoughts just bind
When you come close everything gets hazy.
I love it, I hate it, please go away.
These insane feelings are making me sick.
The next time you come I'll ask you to stay.
I think running away is my last trick
To save my life from your unholy spell.
I surely don't want to end up in Hell!
