Love Sonnet 33: 'Another Bud Opens To Our Delight'

Another bud opens to our delight,
To claim radiance for many yards around,
But might somewhere petals wilt out of sight,
Into oblivion, where lost dreams are bound;
Though prudence may suppress laughter in vain,
Bliss overflows and can become unwise,
For then somewhere, someone cries in the rain,
Not known, except through swells around the eyes,
For joy and pain cancel each other out,
As though existence that to naught would fade,
Or smiles for tears past, or what came about,
Or parting, for the nearness that love has made;
…….The rhythm of life and death, night and day,
…….Would bring you near, once you are far away.
