Love Spain Poem by Mrudula Rani

Love Spain

Rating: 5.0

I fell in love with Spain
While in stoical cordon sanitaire.
Baked no sourdough bread to sustain.
No cheesecakes to dot hours of leisure.

Sussing Spanish telenovelas,
I fell in love with Spain.
Daily bonsela for me to focus
On surmounting the pandemic's strain.

Madrid, Malaga, Granada as drop curtain,
I waltzed to land and language nowise I knew, yet
I fell in love with Spain.
An odyssey of fables was mine to be sent.

Ocean of emotions I rode via subtitles.
Cordilleras, castles and the spectacular plain,
Enlivened in me yearn for travels.
I fell in love with Spain.
