Love Story (2) Around The Island, In The Wheelchair. Poem by U Win Kyi

There was a news about a couple,
who have been married for 20 years,
still loving each other and sticking together.
The story is a real heart warmer,
and a day brightener.

The wife is physically invalid.
Before her death she has 2 wishes.
One was to go around
the island, in wheelchair-bound,
pushed by her hubby,
who did it willingly,
for almost 1 year,
no matter what the weather,
without any fear.

Two was to have a photo in wedding gown,
because when they wed, they were too poor to pay for it....cash down.

Her last 2 wishes,
her husband did accomplish.

Hers is a brain disease,
with no cure or relief.
Her face is grotesque,
and muscle twitches,
in stiffening contracture.
her limbs in awkward posture
She is still beautiful in his eye,
a fact he never denies.

They live everyday as if it were her final day.
They love and treasure every moment,
that is left,
so that they won't regret.
They are a perfect match.
To them given a God's bless,
in disguise of poverty and poor health.
