The clear blue stretched across the summer sky
And the sun warmed our backs as it journeyed by
We walked together on the dusty trail holding hands
As the afternoon seemed to last forever in a grand plan
The brook babbled as we stood leaning on the rail
There was nothing else we needed on a perfect day
And it is this day that I remember since you went away.
