Love Unchanged

I once asked you to marry me for my love had no end
I thought we'd always be together, then you called me 'friend'
I was called your fiancee, but your brother I became
Yet my endless love for you, has always been the same
Patience I must practice, patience I must get
For maybe just maybe, there is hope for us yet
We are young so young, we have nothing but time
Maybe in the future, you will once again be mine
But until that day has come, as long as we're apart
Know that you always reside within my heart
A friend you started out as, and a friend you'll always be
Even though you've always meant much more to me
