Lovely Illusion Poem by Cooper Gilliland

Lovely Illusion

The reddest rose is the sharpest thorn
Beauty hides a blackened heart.
In this forever I'm deeply torn
While false memories fall apart.

You lie and mesmerize
Pull me farther into chaos
With your soulless eyes
You feed my endless loss.

I will follow you no more
Of this I am deadly certain.
So I end this evil score
And pull the final curtain.
