Loverly Loving Love Poem by David Thomas

Loverly Loving Love

The skies keep growing darker
and the suns keep growing fewer,
sweetie this world is no lovers' world
we're at our best
at a glance,
we've just got no chance
when everything around our lives
screams of immediate gratification
and rushing into the dawn,
ideals that crumble stocks and cripples hearts
i find myself amiss
wondering in the garden's quarters,
seeking out what little
bits and pieces
remind me of our love,
the fluffy gray clouds and the luscious pink rose,
oh this garden sings of love
if only i could pluck it-
from the bowels of my minds
and dropp it like these lines
into somewhere forever unscathed,
somewhere eternal,
somewhere so warm and loving
that our love could never die,
somewhere so perfect, that heaven would be jealous
i want the angels to sing songs above,
of all the things we've yet to do!
(and then i want to do them)
i want to do them all with you.
