Lovers Affair Poem by Ekwueme Kelechi

Lovers Affair

I will be the invisible whisperer
To caress your soul
At its feast with sorrow
I will do it for love

"My love, the rock
On which my feeble heart stands
The life in which my life finds life
Like Abraham
What more can you do for your love? "

I will be the might
On which your feet stand
The creature
On which your back finds comfort

"Alas! My heart seats like a dumb before thy heart
Spare not the speech of thy heart
Pour more unto me
Thy costly words"

I will be the hand
That will absorb the rain from your eyes
I will be the strength
Before your peers

"Thy words are the shelter
In which I find refuge
Sing more to me
The songs of thy naked heart"

I will always give you
The battery of the mouth
Which man lost in the garden of Eden
For I cherish your internal basket

"If it be so
I will restore thy peace
Which was stolen
At the eve of Eve"

I will carry your heart
Like the Precious of a specific snake
I will carry it
With the carefulness that beclouds a nursing mother

"You have tombed me
In thy words' might
They're the Sower's good seeds
Oh! How they refine my inner Being
Cast more seeds
For I'm lost in thy potency"

Even when the day becomes a virgin
After she has pulled off
Her mourning cloth
I will prevent the jealous sun from disturbing your rest

When your gay goes gray
Just tap the image of my Being
I will be there with the speed of a ray
Never doubt my say

"My love, how can I?
Before thee am I
Like the prodigal before mother Idoto
To thee I belong"

I will do all these and more for love
I promise to make your joy glow
This is from the inner desk
Of a "Man"
