Lovers From History Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Lovers From History

Scarlet O'Hara:
Always crying over you Rhett
Doubted your love from the day we met.
I am out of tune and out of rhyme
Thinking about you all the time.
Come back dear Rhett, I need you so
The pale moon waits ~ Tara's aglow,
Whisper softly and hold my hand
Forsake me not Rhett, be my man.

Rhett Butler:
I do hope you're not with Melanie's Ashley;
For Scarlett I'm overcome with jealousy...
Through quiet moments, deep within
I feel such hurt and doubt begin.
I will return, I won't let you go!
You are my life and I've told you so.
Scarlett my darling, say that you care
Or I must leave you standing there
......... .......... ..........

Two hearts in love ~ but both feel blue
So unfair what they've been through.
Missing each other all of the time...
But loves out of tune and out of rhyme.
