Lovers In The Dark Poem by Not Long Left

Lovers In The Dark

It is only when the lights are dimmed,
We allow our inibitions to be binned,
Inscurites hidden within the black,
Now you lie back, no longer on the attack.

Roles are reversed and man becomes man,
You direct the course of my hands
Because you can.
We are both selfishly smiling,
Protected by the trust of the dark,
You are so loving now, so womanly
Yet in the morning,
With all the stress it brings,
You will be at me like a hungry pissed of shark.

Let this feeling last forever,
Not slip away like a just fallen feather,
We have no need to see each other,
We are joined in a fleeting feeling
Of selfish yet shared passion.
