Love's Dream, Unrealized



Still in darkness, with morning
Still a wish-fulfilling
Dream away!
Be guided and strengthened by
This flash in the heart; more bright
A moon-ray.

Your own mind's perplexity
His own, nights; all at sea.
All alone.
Knows it, Hope, for a lighthouse.
And for what, safe, warm, home-lit
Tears atone.
