Love's Private World Poem by james watkin

Love's Private World

In shutting out the day's light
Nothing shows but is
Unforbidden to be given
Eye to eye, love-bursting through
A closer heed to.

In pulling those drapes across
What's left to obstruct
That inner world to be unfurld?
More tranquil, in its beauty
Dawn, retrieved by thee!
