Loves Snare Poem by Shanna Stewart

Loves Snare

Rating: 5.0

Your blank face tells me everything there is to hear
All I needed was for you to hold me near
love me always and call me dear

Instead I sit here as my heart shatters
the gun clatters
nothing else matters

life flies by
no questions why
i don't even cry

I'll no longer see the light of day
everything went your way
my life, gone, away

vision dies
I'm sick of your lies
your love was my demise

Lost without a care
released from your loves snare
a burden I am no longer called to bear
