Loving Heart Poem by Holly Jamestone

Loving Heart

I thought the life I'd led thus far
Was how it was to be
The paths I chose, the rocks I climbed
The views I longed to see

The years went by and hours rushed in
The way a windswept tide
Consuming one in hours of need
Can leave a void inside

There had to be a purpose
Though I sometimes lost my way
And searched down finespun, dead-end roads
Till hope would fade away

I never truly realized
The best was yet to be
A mind so strong, a heart of gold
How two could become we

Then gently and so tenderly
You stepped into my heart
Your calm demeanor, gentle touch
Were such a welcome start

We melded into one big smile
Two hearts sealed from above
And now I can't remember
How it felt without your love

I thought the life I'd led thus far
Was how it was to be
Until I felt your Loving Heart
Just waiting there for me
