Loving To Much Poem by Randy McClave

Loving To Much

She broke me more than anyone else
To my pastor I once did say,
She broke me more than I could myself
And for her, I still constantly pray.
If she called me broken and all in tears
Saying how that she needed me,
I would do what I could to erase her fears
Because, she is not or could ever be my enemy.
There was no pain or sorrow in her heart
There was no sadness or remorse in her soul,
On that day when from me she did depart
When she decided to just let me go.
She used me and then she hurt me just for fun
To my soul I most certainly did confess,
Then she left me when I was empty when she was done
But, I didn't love her any less.
I gave her all my heart and a place to sleep
And I gave her my soul as well,
I wanted her happy and never again to weep
But, in the end I knew that time would tell.
I would be there for her in a heartbeat
Praying and caring and helping her and the such,
From her sorrow I could not ever runaway or retreat
That's the pain of loving anyone to much.
