I have no time for the naysayers.
Shoulder down I'm finding my way through
Thomas Edison could work without a wink
He could do it and I bet every dime you can too
Has the news of the world got you down?
Buck up partner let's make our dreams fly
Lucky Lindbergh had the Spirit of St.Louis
You know you can find your wings too if you try
So what if the schools no longer tell the tales
That doesn't make them any less true
Because Washington fought on to Trenton
The souls of his men are in me and in you
These days they will say it is wrong to feel proud
History reveals their timid kind exists in every age
Remember the stories of those daring rebels
Their names live on, now add yours to that page

I just love this. Very inspirational and uplifting with the personal touch and the characters sprinkled in to remind us of who we are and where we come from. This is not only a reminder to NOT wallow in self-pity or sorry, but to buck up, get up, and move on. Well done and enjoyable to read. I felt like you (or Lindy) were talking to me! :) Thanks for sharing this one.... I'm still waiting for more artwork... ;)
Thank you Pam. Your writings leave me to understand that this philosophy speaks to you. Think of it Amelia Earhart and Clara Barton. The women on the frontier. They all speak to souls who will listen. Bravery comes in so many forms and never fails to lift me up or inspire. At some point we must break these chains of negativity and be inspired by very real humans that we know personally and have read about. I often have to remind myself that my philosophy must always stay the course, like Lindy over the Atlantic. I am glad you mentioned the art. I need to pick up the pencil once again. It has been too long. So keep reminding me....I need it. Take care and fly high. P.S. I hope you are still tearing up the court in tennis! P.S.S Time to get my bike out...and not the lazy kind. The peddling kind. Bicycling has been compared to flying in concept. Thus the bicycle repairing Wright Brothers...pretty cool no?
