Lucky Man Poem by Randy McClave

Lucky Man

I'm not a lucky man
Though to the contrary many might say,
Though I do have a plan
That I use every single moment of everyday.
Many people will say that I am lucky
To them I will honestly say, "I am not"!
I'm am just a Christian man from Kentucky
Who knows what he's got.

I'm not a lucky guy
I have had bad experiences all the time,
But, I don't hate or rob or cheat or lie
And I never have committed any crime.
You always see me with a smile on my face
And you never see me sad or blue,
We too are in the very same race
And honestly no one knows what I been or am going through.

I am not a lucky person
I too have had my share of bad luck,
But, I don't get mad or depressed or start cursin'
Or scream out to all that my life does suck.
I truly am not lucky at all
I too have been scared and worried and afraid,
Many times I have cried and did fall
You have no idea how much to God I've prayed.
