Lullaby Poem by Richard (Narad) Eggenberger

Lullaby

Lullaby

Close your eyes my lovely one
Dive into your world of dream
Sleep till night and dark are done
Then wake upon the golden stream
Of light that fills your little room.
Rest now while I sing of kings
And angels that dispel all gloom
And princesses with silver wings
To fly above this world of tears.
I cannot follow where you go
For time has stolen childhood's years
Though this my precious one I know,
You are the promise and the sign
My treasure and my gift divine.
