Lunch Break Poem For Lunchtime Live! Poem by Denis Martindale

Though Lunchtime Live is on right now, we'll soon be on a break!
It's time to get some rest somehow, time off for tea and cake.

A gentle walk outside again upon some mountain track,
Perhaps a coffee now and then, reading a paperback.

Yet we won't cease from precious prayer what God brings to our hearts,
Compassion leading us to care, content when true love starts.

To pray for others still in need, this privilege is ours!
Redeem the time! Let faith succeed! Respect that God has powers!

And oh what love such power brings! What healings God bestows!
We serve with honour the King of Kings! As each prayer warrior knows!
