Madame Tosad Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Little thought crept in mind to crave a good name,
Some one suggested Tosad by name so contact Madame,
Had all the information on table and search begun,
Found it interesting and amusing but full of fun,

Criteria are laid down and place for only celebrities,
Should have high position with all noble qualities,
World should have known or taken note of contribution,
Was not merely a show by simple way of contribution?

It was proving difficult as mind raced,
So many questions raised and faced,
Desire was strong and had surfaced,
Mentally strong and self to be braced,

When compared the noble conditions,
Did not find with comfortable position,
Apart from having clean track record,
One should be in position to afford,

I had plenty but earned through disrepute,
Had never offered single rupee to contribute,
What all I did was to corner it for own,
Blame to others and responsibilities disown,

These criteria were no where to be seen,
Temper was running high, making me keen,
Why did not they think of mafias and gangsters?
We had contributed not less than others,

Not a single condition made me eligible,
I only wanted to make entry forcible,
Neither had I found any situation favourable,
Nor was the wax statue durable,

Wax may melt with heat strong,
What use to find place among,
Chase not easy and march very long,
Not so easy but very difficult song

I shelved the idea to find place,
Already had a place in palace,
It was just hard try or solace,
But was it not worth try for race?
