Made In Storms Poem by Randy Todd

Made In Storms

Rating: 5.0

O now that I finally let you go
I realize I never held you anyway
Like a moth with the light upon my wings
Thinking I was flying straight to you
When I was just circling
My fate

O now I see that what you want
Is not to be alone
When the past creeps up to haunt you
And not to be so cold
When the night gives up its black
To deepest blue

It’s alright to let it slip away
If tomorrow’s all we have
I must remember that memories aren’t born
They’re made
In storms

What do we really have but just another day
We can’t fast-forward to the future
Or rewind yesterday
It’s all change

So I won’t lie awake at night
Wondering if it’s still alright
Or if what we said this morning
Is just as true tonight
Searching for some warning in the grey between
I’ll just take another day.
