Made Me Go, Hmmmm Poem by Randy McClave

Sometimes you feel kinda dumb
When things make you think, 'hmmmm',
Maybe it's something that you've seen or read
Or had listened to what someone had said.
But, then you were in a deep confusion
As though you were a part of an elaborate illusion,
As then that thought came in a wink
Then finally you begin to think.

You placed your hand upon your chin
As you think about that situation once again,
You study it from different points of view
Then once again you think it through.
Then you think from where the thought came from
And then once again you go, 'hmmmm',
And then you begin to pace your floor
As you had done the day before.

You once had yourself a trophy wife
It was when she was still part of your life,
But, of course that was many years ago
And when you truly loved her so.
But, then after realization you went, 'hmmmm'
When from truth and realization you had finally succumb,
As you think about your trophy wife once again
Knowing her trophy was in lying, cheating and the adultery sin.
