Magic Of Spices Poem by Pallab Chaudhury

Magic Of Spices

Rating: 5.0

To bring about a change
In the years-old recipe of words
Or, better, to say, to have a twist
I've put some romantic spices to the same;
For which you've swallowed
The whole of the dish
And added- It was succulent and delicious!
But, left out nothing for me…
Perhaps it's due to wanton eyes
Of the young girls with tattoos
Partly exposed on arms
And have called back the golden days…
The photo-sensitive stimulus
Which has entered through the eyes
Made your cool and calm blood
To attain a gushing speed
And on reaching the heart of poetry
With a look of ecstasy on face
You've tasted the elixir of life!
Oh my dear! It's like the first kiss of one
To his own, with lips
Moistened with red wine…

By now, the poetry is
As good as your love
And soon may become a bride
With thousands of dreams
On the fair and blooming skin.
Drops of rain may even roll
With sexiness down the abdomen ….
Could you accompany- Oh! My dear!
Up to the end of journey
If I put some spices
Right into the tasteless
String of words?
