Magic Wings Poem by Valerie Dohren

Magic Wings

They come to me on magic wings
the poems that I write -
transported on a gentle breeze
through all the realms of night.

The words, they dance upon my soul
in iridescent hues -
as lavender, soft pink and green
with shades of mystic blues.

And then as stardust floating down
to glisten all around -
surrounding me with tender words
there scattered on the ground

to mingle with the blossom fall,
soft petals in the wind -
to rise again upon the air
as verses yet untrimmed

They come to me on magic wings
as if from heav'n above -
they speak of sorrow, joy and hope
and sing a song of love.
