Mahmoud Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Mahmoud did not tell me more about her,
And he also failed to give me more details about this lady;
However i have to live by what i have come to see with my muse,
For the heavens are very far away from the earth!
The way she behaves at times puts me off,
For the things are not all that normal with her;
But i have to live by everything that i see around me,
And i will not eat the camel, the rabbit, or the pig! !
They are all unclean to mankind but,
The peace of my mind will always lead me on to succeed in this land.
