Maintained Grass Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Maintained Grass

The lawn needs mowing
Blades have resurrected
Cool gentle rains
have enhanced and perfected

Thriving… chlorophyll filled
Dimensions are extending
Roots are bound to the earth
Oxygen is ascending

Not allowed to continue
upward…declared to be unruly
Cut down to acceptable measure
Refrained from growing unduly
