Making A Difference Poem by Ruth Kamasungua

Making A Difference

Take a good look
At yourself
And do not compare
Yourself with others
For you have been
Bestowed with equal
Blessings and qualities
As your neighbor
The person sitting next
To you in the office
Or bus
Though you see him living
In luxury doesn't mean
That you have been denied
Some things in life
He who creates you
knows well
What you would need before
He formed you
So the next time
You are tempted to
Complain about others
Just remember
You are unique with
Special abilities and
Gifts
That you can utilize
To help
Someone in need and
Allow them to see
The Almighty's hand
Using you
Don't get
Too bogged down with
Jealousy and bitterness
But concentrate on being
Thankful of who you are
And that God is well pleased
To use you to make a
Difference for the better
in this world
