Time Runs Poem by Ruth Kamasungua

Time Runs

Rating: 5.0

Time runs
Like water
Filling in buckets of procrastination
And idleness
That turned into tanks
Which grew into dams
While chores lay waiting
To be done
Time runs while
Chores pile up minute by minute
And hour by hour
Till it builds a house and goes on
To erect a skyscraper
Night falls and Day breaks
Slowly but quickly
Turning into weeks
And regrettably, months
And the chores transforms
Into a city of sky scrapers
Under the pressure of
Negligence and
Carelessness
While precious time
Runs out
