Mama Poem by G George

Mama

Mama,
Tears flood my eyes writing aboutyou,
A first love, my ride or die,
Stories they tell of my existence,
Sanity intact, and a reason to live I've got,

To my favorite person, and place
I know you never get to see this, a different world, one in which conservative you are, I love it

Every road I took, boldly I graced it
In it all you stayed on your knees,
Now I'm learning, loving self I try,
Literate I am, a fight you won,
Not once you spared the rod,
Grateful for all the lessons you taught,
By them I lead a good life,

You allow me to be myself,
Look how it's turning out,
If I had to do it again,
I'd pick you everyday of this life,

Thank you mama,

@ggeorge
