Mama Came Home Late Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Mama Came Home Late

I am only a man like your self,
And like Cornelius the centurion;
But my hope and dreams are always one step ahead of you.

Mama came home late last night,
For she is a woman like your self;
But she is known by all in the neighbourhood because,
The way to the sea moves straight to her house!
