Manchester Glory Poem by Johnny Eardley

Manchester Glory

Rating: 5.0

As the fog envelopes Manchester,
And hides its visual glory,
It cannot cover up the people,
Who give it all its glory.
Ya see us mancs are strong types,
To ourselves we are true,
We've a passion for what we believe in,
Whether it be red or blue,
A diverse City of all kinds,
All welcome you can tell,
As long as you take on a manc heart,
And you treat our city well,
The Manc heart is a happy one,
It comes with a Northern soul,
And eyes that see the best in people,
From the rich to those on the dole,
We work hard at everything,
Do our best at all we do,
We would fight for our great City,
We're United even if we're Blue.
