Mandate Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Mandate

The golden years have now passed
For western poor peace amassed
Even drank from silver cup
Don't realize their time is up

Lightning flash across the sky
Thunder booms and babies cry
Eighty years without pain
Soon heaven pours bloody rain

Shopping malls and t.v screen
That's all our youth have ever seen
Now to feel the grind of tanks
Young fertilizer for the banks

Stand up shout it's all a lie
Or guaranteed you will die
Gave them your vote for tax and war
Though your the one who wears the scar
