Mankind Fell Poem by Randy McClave

Mankind Fell

I know exactly when mankind fell
As I read and I have heard the true tale,
The fall of mankind had occurred
When woman first was spurred.
It all happened in the Garden of Eden
As from the Bible I have been readin,
Adam and Eve were in the Garden exploring
God's work they both were adoring.
Then one day Adam said unto Eve
Here we are at one with nature it's a joy to believe,
And we also are at one with our God
With that fact I am so happy and inspired and awed.
Just think you and I will never age
And depression or sadness we will never engage,
We will never go hungry or be cold
Unto beauty and peace we will always behold.
You and I also will never die
We will never be depressed or alone or cry,
And we will always have and help each other
Today, tomorrow and forever.
Our dreams will come true after we have them
Daily we will sing a happy hymn,
With an agreement Eve then nodded her head
To the words and feelings that Adam had said.
I was so lonely in this world once before
But, then God created you Eve, so I'm lonely no more.
Then Eve thought, while looking around for a bit
Then she said, it's not enough, is it.
