Manus Prison Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Manus Prison

Long ago I was told
The full knows nothing of the hungry

I was also told
Cruel is always cruel and uses the tongue, the whip and the gun according to need/time.

I was informed that
The words’ meaning depend on the user and his/her situation and time

I, therefore
Look at the words like terror, barbarian, savage, illiterate, backward and underdeveloped
After looking at the mouth of the users

I do not believe the existence of any of them
If George Bush says

You can read
The white lines I have left for the wise between my writings

They cover all the continents and the cages and the cases, in the drawer and in the courts
You can see the blood
