Many Migrants Poem by Francis Duggan

Many Migrants

Many migrants are people who did not choose to stay
In the town or the place where they first saw light of day
Many of them choose to travel to places elsewhere
For to experience life in the big World out there

Many migrants leave their first home before their physical prime
And nostalgia for their first home-place does fade from them in time
Some of them partner or marry and raise children and some of them as single does stay
Everyone's life journey is different it does seem this way

Nostalgia in the migrant mind fade but to say it dies would be a lie
And some migrants go home to grow old and die
And though they have not been there for many a year
News from the hometown they always love to hear

Far from their hometowns and cities and their home countryside
There are millions of migrants in Nations Worldwide
All people are different in their own way
Some are born to travel and some at home born to stay.
