Here or there or there and here
My choices seemed but few,
But now no matter where I look
I see a kaleidoscopic view.
I shake my cage, and bars I bend
To step and see anew,
Entranced by an otherworldly scene
A new perspective-enhanced review.
I've re-imaged my point of view-
From my former fetid world of doom,
I slipped away from my old fugue-
And entered this new room.
Now new lights I see
They swim and bleed-
they cast their colors free,
And when refracted right-
bouquets appear-
Each corsage tosses its bloom at me.
I revel in this perception I've found-
This new madness-
and not my old funk,
It's a new viewpoint
and it I'll keep-
A new broom assembled-
To sweep up.
