Maria Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Maria

Maria

Want to be Fyodor at my desk, in a chair
-as I saw in his house; Petersburg of Russia.

Then can write
"Idiot" with "Meek One" and "White-Nights".

But can I?

Though I too, saw Gulag
-in Evin of Tehran
Never had Maria
To support, be stud;
For my book of start…

Though live in Toronto
For him St. Petersburg
Have not had an Anna.

Am on search for them both
I will write if I find,
Write and write till I die!

Dangerous I am as king cobra
Venomous my kisses; I can bite.

Both of us, did take part
In White-Nights of Neva
But he had Maria and Anna.

I did not!

Male writers depend on
Good ladies and good wives…

Lucky ones find the best
Then write much
Some do not, therefore die
Like those who never come!

Rest assured; I am of latter ones!
