Marionette Poem by Maya Hanson

Marionette

Rating: 5.0

Your hands lift strings at my shoulders
and your eyes draw mine along
Memorizing skin with my fingers
You pull me in a circle, my chest a magnet
and when you leave
you take my heart's painkiller with you.
Now I know what they mean by heartache.
