Marmalade Poem by Alc Harris

Marmalade

Rating: 5.0

there was a certain urgency
about the way he walked
carrying the news
that although
it was science that
kept him alive
in confidence he disclosed
marmalade was the cure

in toggles and fur
he looked
like Paddington bear
but confused
it was clear
they knew not who he was
and as he left
he wondered
was it because
he had worn the wrong hat
