Marriage Poem by Anshul Gupta

Marriage

A sweet concoction of souls
An institution to help achieve one's goals
Yin and Yang bid
to forever become one
Promise always to live in unison.

Two hands of a clock
together make meaning of their life
Life is meaningless without
concomitance of husband and wife
Clock with a single hand shows
only the minutes or hour
Life would be dull and sterile
without the fragrance of a lover.

A cloud when the Sun is rough
A friend when the going gets tough
A vehicle to carry forward life
A commitment so divine.

When the body is wrinkled and fragile
When walking a meter feels like mile
When children are no more docile
There is someone whose eyes
still ooze love on your sight
There is someone who for you
still smiles.
