Gone are those days
when marriage was viewed
as a spiritual act
based on the foundation
of life-long commitment
between man and woman
with rising level
of education and earning power
freedom and lust
marriage turns to be an agreement
where ego rules the relationship
advice interpreted as interference
love becomes professional
each partner conscious of
personality and status
frequent outbreak of rift
divorce not too far to visualize
what is the reason?
Can one term it as ignorance?
Or a will of destiny?
Can't education prevent this?
a suggestion is mooted
let wise people come forward
formulate an hour long video
on significance and value of marriage
and let it be mandatory
for everybody to watch it
before marriage and divorce
the principal goal is to
prevent the marriage
from breaking down.
