Mask For God Poem by Allen Liebenberg

Mask For God

The world would be a better place
If they stopped looking at me
And God would let them through His Almighty Grace
Through my mask His Majesty see.

Tears roll down my human face in streams,
But my mask pull it back by it’s tail
It is too strong for the mask to hold back, it seems,
But God’s true Power and Might will prevail

Sorrow leave my eyes red with salt
And stained by wrinkles of frown,
But God brings all negative emotions to a halt
And put on my head a King’s child’s crown

Humanity struggle to unravel me everyday
And try to find my true feelings of heart,
But Christ has set for me the way
When He on the cross evil from Good part

So, I keep radiating all positive in life
That humanity through my life may to Heaven ascend,
But my true heart always will strive
To take God’s hand when He provides around every bend
