Master Sailor Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Master Sailor

The Master Sailor

Along the tourists jilted beach walked
saw a rope, thick as Popeye's arms
sticking up from the sand.
I pulled and up came a schooner
with its crew on board.

We set sail away from winter shores
it disappeared in a funky haze.
A dream had come true, a master
of my own vessel.
It didn`t last someone
pulled the plug.
