Charvaka's hedonism
Is an elixir of happiness;
The satisfaction of desires
Is the highest goal of life.

Beg or borrow, live happily.
Get or obtain, live happily.
Happiness is meaning of life.
Moral codes give way for pleasure.

Charvaka exhorts his people
To resist not the natural flow
Of happiness when it occurs
Now and then in the life struggle.

Ergo, enjoy the life to the hilt.
Indulge in pleasures that come the way.
Hedonistic approach to the life
Can bring back the estranged joyfulness.

Charvaka holds direct perception,
Empiricism and conditional
Inference as the source of knowledge
And rejects supernaturalism.

Neither bohemianism nor nihilism
Is Charvakr's hedonism.
Existentialism of
Happiness is the core of it.
